Level 1 Computer Lab

Level 1 Computer Lab

The Level 1 Lab, located on the 2nd floor of the Sumanadasa building, serves as an essential hub for learning and technological engagement for 1st year students in the general Engineering stream. As an effective space for practical classes and assessments, the lab plays a crucial role in laying the foundation in computing and technology for aspiring engineers.

Designed to be a conducive learning environment, the lab boasts a generous seating capacity of around 80 students. It is available for students from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm, with 3 supportive staff members who do not hesitate to lend a helping hand to students facing technical difficulties.

Its primary purpose is to support practical components of the curriculum. In addition to scheduled classes, the L1 lab invites students to utilize its resources outside of regular session times. Recognizing that not all students might have personal laptops or reliable internet connections, the lab acts as a sanctuary for continuous learning.

Moreover, the L1 lab fosters camaraderie among peers. Students come here to collaborate on assignments, troubleshoot challenges, and share their insights. Not only does this enhance the learning experience, but it also gives students a sense of community and mutual support. This aids the overall personal growth of engineering students.

As students progress through their studies and beyond, the experiences and skills gained within this lab will resonate in their academic and professional pursuits.
