Video Production Lab

The Video Production Studio Laboratory stands as a fully-fledged production facility, boasting a soundproof studio space alongside a dedicated control room. With a spectrum of digital capabilities, ranging from computer-generated virtual backgrounds to comprehensive digital mixing and recording setups, this studio is equipped to bring any vision to life. Complementing its stationary setup is a mobile video production unit, inclusive of video mixers and digital recording devices, ensuring versatility in capturing content.

This dynamic space facilitates live productions, harnessing the power of up to 8 online cameras, spanning a remarkable radius of nearly 200 meters. Beyond its production capabilities, the laboratory serves as a vital resource for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, offering essential equipment and technical guidance for modules focusing on image processing, computer vision, and graphics. Moreover, it serves as a hub for research and development, supporting student projects at various academic levels.

One notable offering of the laboratory is a non-GPA module dedicated to video production for undergraduate students, enriching their skill set and preparing them for diverse professional endeavors. Furthermore, as the proud host of the university's Centre for Instructional Technology (CIT), the laboratory extends its services to encompass multimedia technical support and video coverage for significant university events, including graduation and inauguration ceremonies. Additionally, through CIT, the laboratory contributes to the university community by overseeing the production of staff and student identity cards, embodying its multifaceted role as a cornerstone of academic and institutional advancement.
