Google Summer of Code 2023 Achievements

Two final year students, Akila Induranga and Wenuka Somarathne from the Department of Computer Science Engineering, University of Moratuwa have achieved significant recognition in the Google Summer of Code 2023 program. 

The project, titled "Adding a custom text color picker for Kolibri EPUB renderer" undertaken by Akila Induranga addressed to enhance the functionality of the Kolibri EPUB renderer by introducing a custom text color picker feature. Through his meticulous efforts and expertise, Akila has successfully revolutionized the user experience by empowering users to personalize their reading environment with preferred text, background, and link colors.

Wenuka Somarathne's contribution to the TensorMap project at SCoRe Lab addressed major bugs, streamlined the codebase, and introduced new features to the TensorMap app. Wenuka's efforts resulted in a more efficient and user-friendly application, further advancing the capabilities of TensorMap and its impact on the community.
