GTN Lab at CSE Opened on 16.09.2025

On the 16th of September 2025, a landmark initiative in advancing innovation and research was realised with the official opening of GTN Labs in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, a cutting-edge facility established at the University of Moratuwa through the generous sponsorship of GTN Tech (Pvt) Ltd.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Senior Professor N.D. Gunawardena, Vice Chancellor of the University of Moratuwa, along with Mr Arjuna Nanayakkara, Head of Shared Services & Chief Executive Officer of GTN, and Mr Kevin Smith, Chief Technology Officer of GTN.

GTN Labs stands as a state-of-the-art space for computer science research and innovation, featuring modern infrastructure and advanced technology platforms that will transform hands-on learning experiences for students. The facility provides a dedicated hub for fostering creativity, experimentation, and cutting-edge research, empowering the next generation of engineers and researchers.

This initiative reflects GTN Tech’s continued commitment to the Computer Science & Engineering department in technological advancement and their dedication to nurturing academic excellence and industry collaboration.
