Hyperglade: A Success Story of CSE Alumni

CSE alumni exhibit their excellence in different arenas in a multitude of ways. Contributing to the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the country through their innovation is one such way that has given rise to several giants in the Sri Lankan IT industry over the years. Through this article, we celebrate the emergence of yet another innovative venture by CSE alumni: Hyperglade.

Co-founded by CSE alumni Mr. Kalana Muthumuni and Mr. Manujith Pallewatte, along with their colleagues Lakshan de Silva, Dulitha Wijewantha, Malinda Muthumuni, and Gamika Seneviratne, Hyperglade is an ecosystem that makes Web3 and Blockchain more accessible, cost effective, and easily accessible. The company hosted Sri Lanka's first ever NFT auction and introduced fiat payment options for NFTs for the first time in the region. Their zero-code platform for implementing real world blockchain use cases with no Web3 knowledge is the first all use case blockchain use case platform in the world. Transcending regional boundaries, the team were able to take the company to Silicon Valley and secure funding from a leading Venture Capital firm Draper Associates.
