Intreccio '24: A Magical Welcome for the Incoming Batch at CSE

Intreccio '24, hosted by the University of Moratuwa's Department of Computer Science and Engineering, welcomed the incoming 22-batch students with a Harry Potter-themed event on April 26th, 2024. The Old Gymnasium was transformed into a Hogwarts-like setting, complete with magical decorations and lighting.

Distinguished guests, including the Head of the Department, Dr. Uthayasankar Thayasivam, attended the event. It began with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp and a welcome speech by a representative from the 21-batch.

The evening featured a variety of performances, including a Potterverse-themed dance and a range of other couple dances, energetic group dances, and musical performances. WSO2, the strategic partner, was acknowledged for their support.

Attendees enjoyed a great feast and participated in activities like decoding riddles inspired by the Harry Potter series to find hidden horcruxes. The event concluded with a group photograph and a vote of thanks.

Intreccio '24 emphasized the importance of embracing the magic of both academic and recreational aspects of life at CSE, leaving attendees with cherished memories and anticipation for their academic journey.
